Veterinary bacteriology: information about important bacteria
Veterinary bacteriology

Significance

Information about the importance of the bacterium in different parts of the world can (or will) be found in this field.

Information about the importance of the bacterium from a veterinary point of view is given within brackets (Very important, Important or Of minor importance). However, note that the assessment in some cases may be somewhat subjective.

The background colour of the bacterial name on the bacterial pages means:
Red = a very important bacterium (within veterinary medicine).
Yellow = an important bacterium.
Green = a less important bacterium.

The color codes also appear if you list all the bacteria in VetBact by clicking on Species/Subspecies. The importance rate of a bacterium may vary in different parts of the world and the current colour codes refer to Swedish conditions.
